Aso Meri means "beautiful cloth" in Yoruba. We believe that every fabric tells a story, and that the best stories are the ones you help create.

Our fabrics are handcrafted by skilled artisans in Abeokuta using traditional adire and kampala techniques passed down through generations. Each piece is made to order, meaning no two fabrics are exactly alike.

We work directly with artisan communities, ensuring fair pricing, quality craftsmanship, and the preservation of techniques that have defined West African textile art for centuries.

Custom orders: 2 weeks from order confirmation. Your fabric is handcrafted to your specifications, so please allow time for the artisans to create your unique piece.

Custom Asoebi: 2 weeks. Minimum order applies. Please contact us for large group orders.

What is adire?

Adire is a traditional Yoruba textile art form from Abeokuta. The word means "tied and dyed." Artisans use techniques including batik (wax-resist), tie-dye, and starch-resist to create unique patterns on fabric. Every piece is handmade, meaning no two are exactly the same.

How many yards do I need?

For a full outfit (top and wrapper/skirt), we recommend 5 yards. For a single item like a headwrap, 2 yards is usually sufficient. For asoebi (group event fabric), please contact us to discuss quantities.

Can I choose my own colours and patterns?

Yes. Use our Design Your Own section to select your fabric type, base colour, dye colour, and pattern style. If you have a specific design in mind, describe it in the notes or send us reference images via email or WhatsApp.

What is the minimum order for Custom Asoebi?

Custom Asoebi orders require a minimum quantity. Please contact us via WhatsApp or email to discuss your event requirements, quantities, and timeline.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship to Nigeria, the UK, US, Canada, and other countries worldwide. Shipping costs vary by location and are confirmed before payment.

Can I return or exchange my fabric?

Due to the handmade nature of our fabrics, we do not accept returns on custom orders. For ready-made fabrics, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery if there is a quality issue. We will work with you to resolve it.
